The pack of Red Ridge is a very loose sort of pack (meaning it doesn't have any organization or set in traditions like the other dog gangs) that originates from Southern New Mexico several years, even generations ago. During Rattlers Season, great fires broke throughout the desert. It's unlike for lobos to band together beyond family groups, but most lobos in the area did so anyways, for they all agreed they must travel North. Eventually, they found an open expanse of desert with a great river. The large migrational group decided to stay as one pack and settle in this land, rather than go back to their families. Although their numbers have dwindled, most are blooded or descendant to the original southern travelers. It is rare that another lobo finds the pack, as no Northern migration has happened since the fire many years ago.
The pack isn't aggressive, but they are territorial. They will give you a warning before they attack, but usually only one. They're hefty, large, and more fit for their desert surroundings, making their group a formidable match even in it's smaller numbers. They are loving to each other, and although they do hold the same flank tradition as the other packs, they are a rare occurrence. The pack is aware that they are a dying breed, and so they hold a respect and love for one another.
They hold only the leader rank (two mates), with everyone fitting into a natural order beneath them, and fulfilling spots where they are needed, somewhat like Los Sabuesos.
The pack tends to eat your usual desert prey of birds, snakes, hares, rats, mice, lost cattle, deer, fox, mustangs, and in times of prey shortage they will eat remains of dogs but rarely will they kill them to eat.
The Pack of Red Ridge generally are peace keepers who don't seek out confrontation, but they will defend their territory that they have fought for for many years. They'll especially spill blood if you threaten or harm one of their pack members, for they care for each other deeply. They're extremely wise and adaptable, with a decent knowledge on healing wounds and sickness, and rumor has it even rattle snake bites.
They care for their own, and only their own. Tread lightly among Red Ridge.
(Every user is allowed one red ridge wolf unless they gain an additional one through an adoption)
